We’re excited to announce the release of our new Service Order App, designed to streamline field operations and enhance communication between office staff and field technicians. This comprehensive solution offers seamless integration between desktop and mobile platforms, enabling real-time data synchronization and improved workflow management.

The Service Order app is tightly integrated with both Diversified Billing and the Citizen Action Center. Service orders can be generated from within the Diversified Billing program and assigned to a specific field tech. They can also be generated in bulk. (This feature is particularly useful when you need many meter re-reads done simultaneously.) They can also be originated by “smart forms” in the Citizen Action Center.

Field techs can access service orders assigned to them on their Android or iOS cell phone or tablet.
The mobile app includes an Actions Taken section where field techs can record exactly what they did to complete a service order assigned to them. They can use their device’s keyboard or they can use the voice-to-text feature to record their thoughts. (Really nice when the field tech’s hands are cold or muddy.) They can also attach photos to document their work.

Field techs can use the mobile app’s bar code reader to capture a meter or MXU bar code with no human error opportunity.
They can also pull up an inventory list and note which inventory items they have used for each job they work on.
Whenever the field tech’s device has a wi-fi signal the mobile app can sync with the Diversified Billing database. This automatically upload meter re-reads to the appropriate customer’s account. And details of actions taken are posted to the appropriate customer’s account along with the original service order.
